Sarah
VA/CSR
Sarah has been a dedicated veterinary assistant for three years, but her passion for animals began much earlier. Starting at the age of 15 as a kennel attendant and apprentice groomer, she has built a wealth of experience in animal care over the years.
As a vital part of the team, Sarah describes her role as being the "right-hand" to the technicians. From greeting clients and assisting with treatments to running lab work and maintaining a clean, organized clinic, Sarah ensures everything runs smoothly for both patients and their families.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time on the water fishing, one of her favorite pastimes. She also has a special place in her heart for her four pets—three cats and a dog—and dreams of starting a hobby farm again in the near future.
Sarah looks forward to meeting you and your furry companions and providing compassionate, top-notch care during your visit.
Questions
-
What pets do you have?
I have three cats and a dog. One of my cats, Mowgli—whom we call “Mow” for short—came into my life as a bottle-fed kitten from a rescue when he was just six weeks old. We named him after the character from The Jungle Book because of his adventurous spirit and rambunctious personality. Close friends and family know him as “Momo the Adventure Cat,” as he loves joining us on fishing trips and is always ready for the next big adventure.
-
What’s the most unusual animal you’ve cared for?
I once helped care for a seagull that a good Samaritan brought in after it was hit by a car. We stabilized it and kept it comfortable until a wildlife rescue could take over its care.
-
What inspired you to work in this industry?
I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Being part of a team that makes a positive difference in animals’ lives every day is incredibly rewarding. It’s fulfilling to be a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves.

What advice would you give to pet owners?
Pay attention to what you feed your pets and ensure they receive daily enrichment—both physical and mental. A balanced diet and stimulating activities are key to their overall well-being.
