My favorite animal is the fox. They are incredibly curious, playful, and intelligent creatures. I’ve always loved their aesthetic and adorable features, and their mischievous nature only adds to their charm.

  • What is your favorite part of working with animals?

One of my favorite things about working with animals is the opportunity to learn more about them every single day. Animals are incredibly intuitive and excel at understanding non-verbal cues. They often don’t need to make a sound to communicate. As part of the veterinary field, it’s our responsibility to interpret what animals are trying to tell us so we can provide them with the best possible care.

  • If animals could speak, what would you ask them?

If I could speak to animals, I’d want to reassure them of how much we care for them and always have their best interests at heart. And, of course, I’d politely ask them to sit still during a blood draw—it would make things so much easier for both of us!

  • What advances in veterinary medicine excite you the most?

There are so many exciting technological advances in veterinary medicine on the horizon! One that stands out to me is similar to the wearable devices many of us use to monitor activity levels and heart rates. While dogs and cats won’t be sporting cool watches like us, high-tech collars designed to track their health information are in development. These innovations have the potential to help us detect health changes early, ensuring timely and effective care for our furry friends.
