Hailey brings six years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to her role as Hospital Manager at Oromocto Veterinary Hospital. Her background in veterinary medicine, combined with her leadership skills and dedication to client communication, plays a key role in supporting the hospital’s mission to provide exceptional care for every pet.

As Hospital Manager, Hailey works closely with her team to ensure smooth operations and foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes the health and well-being of patients and their families.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two cats, Rumpel and Charlie, as well as her partner, Julz, and their family and friends. Whether practicing yoga, hiking, or experimenting in the kitchen, Hailey values activities that promote balance and connection.

What’s your favourite animal and why?

My favorite animal is the elephant. They’re incredibly intelligent, social, and gentle, and they have such strong family bonds. Plus, their memory is legendary, which I think is pretty cool.
If you could communicate with animals, what's the first thing you'd ask them?

I’d ask them how they truly feel about their humans. Are they happy with their food? Do they enjoy our company as much as we enjoy theirs? Or maybe they’re secretly plotting world domination. Understanding what goes on in their minds would be fascinating.
What’s your favorite part about working with animals?

It’s the heartwarming moments when an animal recognizes you and finds comfort in your presence. Whether it’s a wagging tail, a gentle nuzzle, or a purring cat, there’s something truly special about earning their trust and helping them feel safe and cared for.
What inspired you to work in this industry?

My lifelong love for animals inspired me to pursue a career where I could combine that passion with science and compassion. Knowing I can help animals live healthier, happier lives motivates me every day and makes this work incredibly rewarding.
What advice would you give to pet owners to ensure their pets lead healthy lives?

Regular veterinary check-ups, a balanced diet, and daily exercise are vital, but don’t forget about mental stimulation! Providing enriching toys, new experiences, and interactive play keeps pets mentally sharp and emotionally fulfilled. A holistic approach to their well-being ensures a happy, healthy life.
