Dr. Erin

Veterinarian

Dr. Erin has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1997, bringing 24 years of clinical and surgical expertise to our team. We are incredibly fortunate to have her wealth of experience and dedication to animal care.

A Fredericton native, Dr. Erin attended FHS and UNB before pursuing her veterinary education at the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI. She now calls Oromocto home, where she lives with her husband, three children, her dog Abby, two cats (Keezer and Bones), and a hamster named Munchkin.

Outside of work, Dr. Erin enjoys yoga, gardening, and painting custom pet portraits. Her true happy place, however, is at the barn with her daughter or cheering on her two sons at the hockey rink.

With decades of experience, Dr. Erin excels in all aspects of veterinary medicine, but her favorite part of the job is meeting clients, building relationships, and helping pets lead healthier, happier lives. Her compassionate approach and exceptional skills make her a vital part of our team.

Questions

  • What is your favourite animal and why?

Cats are my favorite animals to work with. I feel a special connection with them—I think like a cat, and I’m just as stubborn as they are! I also appreciate their personalities, especially when they’re a little spicy.

  • What’s the most unusual animal you have worked with?

The most unusual animal I’ve worked with was a porcupine. It was part of wildlife care and quite challenging to examine! On the other hand, I’ve also worked with hedgehogs, and let’s just say they’re much easier to handle than porcupines.

  • What’s your favourite part about working with animals?

I love hearing from children during appointments. They’re so transparent with their emotions and always ask the most creative and thoughtful questions—it makes every visit so much more engaging.

  • What inspired you to become a veterinarian?

I decided I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was just seven years old. I went with my cousin to help her pregnant cat and discovered that there were doctors for pets. That moment sparked my passion, and I knew it would be amazing to pursue this career.

  • What’s the newest technology you’re excited about?

We’ve recently adopted an AI system to assist with record-keeping, and it’s been a game-changer. As someone who doesn’t love typing, this technology makes documentation faster, easier, and more accurate—allowing me to focus more on patient care.
